Grade Categories allow you to organize assessments. Both Schoology and PowerTeacher Pro require categories in the process of creating assignments. At least one grading category is required in order for you to use the Gradebook in both systems. When creating assignments in Schoology, you can sync categories between Schoology and PowerTeacher. This video shows you how to set up this sync.
If you will be using category weights, you need to do some additional steps. NOTE: Weighted categories are NOT required at SSIS.
Before adding weights, be sure to create all needed categories in both PowerTeacher Pro and Schoology first as shown in the video linked above. Once that process is complete, view and complete the steps in this video.
