SSIS offers a wide variety of after school activities (ASAs) for students from Grade 1 to 5. There are three ASA SEASONS throughout the year, which run from 3:10 to 4:00.

Season 1: August 26 - November 8 | Season 2: November 25 - February 28  | Season 3: March 16 - May 29

In addition, it helps children become confident create a good foundation to learn other musical instruments such as guitar, violin, piano...Note: Kid must bring their own Ukulele for learning.

ES ASA Go Noodle 1-2 Monday Mon 1, 2 B106 FREE Students in this ASA will choose their own Go Noodle adventures - exploring fun physical activities like Zumba, dancing, yoga, balance challenges, and mindfullness activities.  GoNoodle is a fun way for kids to experience movement and mindfulness!

ES ASA 3D ART 1-2-3 Monday Mon 3, 2, 1 B208 1,980,000 Through fundamental lessons on design, experiment and construct; students get to explore the principles of visual perception and the meaning of form, space, function and structure with materials Outcomes included sculpture, installation, elements, designed space, set/theater design...as ways to express a specific theme, subject or story.

ES ASA Student Leadership 3-4-5 - Monday Mon 5, 4, 3 B309 FREE This is an opportunity for community building and Dedicated Service! Come and be a leader in your grade level and in the Elementary School.
ES ASA Cursive/Calligraphy 2-3 - Monday Mon 3, 2 B310 FREE In this ASA we’ll learn to write cursive letters, experiment with different styles of calligraphy, and write beautiful cards for our friends and family! Children don’t need prior experience in writing cursive. We will focus on creativity, not formal handwriting. Please ask your child if they would like to participate before enrolling them in this ASA.

2,200,000 Play with Clay! Walk with us to Spin & Gogh where you will learn several pottery skills and techniques; such as wheel throwing, slab building, and attaching with slip. You will also have an opportunity to glaze your pieces so they are fully functional. The class is from 3.30 to 4.30. Parents need to pick up their children at Spin and Gogh at the end of the session. (We need to make sure that all the information on the permission slip is on SchoolsBuddy)

ASA must meet a minimum number of participants.  ASA that do not meet the minimum are canceled.

Registration and Payment

Request day of selections : November 4 to November 5, 2019

Notification of selections will be sent by email on Wednesday, November 6. 

The selections will re-open on Thursday, November 7 at 8:00am if you did not receive the ASAs you wanted.  You will be able to re-submit your selections at this time by logging back into SchoolsBuddy.  This will be on a first come first served basis.

All registration will be closed on Friday, November 8 at 3:00pm.

Payment deadline  4:00 PM Friday 15 November, 2019.

ASA Payments are non-refundable.

 

Transportations

If you would like your child to ride Bus home after After School Activities, please sign up SSIS Bus Service for your child. This program is run out of the SSIS Business Office and Ms. Vy Tran (busing@ssis.edu.vn) is the person who can help to organize safe and reliable transportation from the SSIS campus.
