3. Creating a user account for the testing session

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.

  2. If the lock at the bottom left is locked , click it to open it and type in the admin password for the user that shows up.

  3. Click the Add button  below the list of users.

  4. Click the New Account drop-down menu, then choose Administrator.

  5. Enter the name tests where you see 'Full Name'.  The 'Account Name' underneath will be generated automatically - you don't need to change anything in the Account Name box. If you already have a user account on your device called 'tests', then use 'CTP Test 2022' or similar.

  6. Enter a password for this new user, then enter it again to verify. It is recommended that you use the same pasword that you already use to login to your computer. Finally, enter a password hint to help you remember the password.

  7. Click 'Create User'.

  8. On the screen that appears, make sure your 'tests' user account is allowed to administer the computer by checking the box at the bottom.

  9. Click the lock (bottom left) to lock it and close the window to exit.

You may now now move on to Step 4: Preparing Your Tests User Account Before Taking The Test.
