HandBrake compresses the file and changes the file format (and extension). It is commonly used to convert default QuickTime videos ( .mov) into more compatible formats (e.g. .mp4)
Download and install HandBrake
Click on Open Source and select the original file (file to be converted)
Click Open
Now check the Presets to make sure the new file meets the required specifications.
For uploading to Google Drive, Fast 1080p30 is fine.
Click the Browse button to change the save location.
Browse to locate the new location and select Choose to confirm.
Change the file name for the saved file.
Press Start to begin the encoding process
The file is encoded and saved to the new save location.
A notification will let you know that the new file has been completed.
