After School Activities Program (ASA) offers a wide variety of after school activities for students from grades one through five. Teachers, parents, and community members join in to promote a fun social setting for our students to meet others and try things that may be new experiences. Some activities are offered without any costs, while others may have a slight cost to cover special resources. There are also professionals in the community who offer special “paid” activities such as Taekwondo, Ballet…etc. Children have an enjoyable time playing with new friends, teachers, parents, and others.
A Learning Journey is a special time for children to share and reflect on their progress at school with family members. Learning Journeys give children the opportunity to share and celebrate their learning in a comfortable setting and to take a leading role in the learning and assessment process. Learning Journeys give parents a wonderful opportunity to see, hear and experience school through their children’s eyes. Teachers welcome the increased involvement by parents and students and provide the support and means for children to successfully take the lead during Learning Journeys.
