Print Photographs - Photoshop

    In order to print photos for art journals and other projects, students often resort to placing the images into Word and then printing the Word documents. For several reasons, this is inefficient and error-prone. Below is method that will use less paper and take less printing time.

    Step 1 - Prepare the canvas
    1. Open Photoshop.

    2. Choose File->New

    3. In the New dialog box set the size to A4 and the Resolution to 160 pixels/inch

    4. Click OK

    Step 2 - Place the photos
    1. Choose File->Place

    2. Browse to the first image to print and click Place
    3. Move and resize the image to your liking. Please note that the printer cannot print all the way to the edge of paper, so leave some white space around the edges.



    4. Press Enter to confirm the location and size of the image
    5. Repeat 1-4 until all images have been placed.

    Step 3 - Print
    1. Choose File->Print
    2. Click Page Setup... and confirm that the Paper Size is A4
    3. Click OK
    4. Check Scale to Fit Media
