School employees are encouraged to participate in community activities, especially charitable community service activities, provided that they do not incur responsibilities which interfere with their regular work at SSIS.
School employees are expected to be sensitive to how their conduct outside of school may be observed and interpreted by members of the wider expatriate and Vietnamese communities. Employees are expected to conduct themselves in ways that will reflect positively upon the School and not jeopardize the School’s reputation with these communities. This includes activities which may be legal, but which my be viewed as unacceptable by many reasonable members of the community.
Participation in any activities of the community which are illegal, or counter to the laws and regulations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is grounds for immediate dismissal from employment at SSIS and the School may be obliged to report these to the civil authorities.
